His main research interests include

1) Biomedical Natural Language Processing (BioNLP) for drug knowledge discovery;

2) Data mining for genotype-phenotype association.

Academic activities

Dr. Jingbo Xia is an associate professor in the Department of Big data science, College of Informatics, Huazhong Agricultural University, China. He is also a member of the Bioinformatics Key Laboratory of Hubei Province, China, and a member of SIGBIOMED (ACL Special Interest Group on Biomedical Natural Language Processing). He acts as an editorial team member of Journal of Mathematics research, and registered reviewer for several journals. He is a chair of MEDA 2020, MEDA 2018, and a program committee member of BioNLP OST 2019, CHIP 2019 and MFOI 2018, etc.
